Old Testament
The Universal Language
And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women,
and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.
And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday,
before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people
were attentive unto the book of the law. (Nehemiah 8:2-3)
Ezra opened the book of the law and read it to the people…
Both men and women...
This is the Old Testament...
We tend to believe that the women were excluded during this time...
This is simply not true...
He did not explain it to them…
He did not preach to them…
He just read it to them…
Many of us want to believe that the Bible is just too difficult for us to understand…
We think we need someone to tell us what it means…
The Bible was written to help us deal with our emotions...
Every person on earth has the same ones...
If we stop and think about it, emotions are the universal language...
Men, women, white, black, young, old, does not matter…
Love, hate, joy, anger, hope and fear, these things do…
God does not want us to rely on other people to tell us what his word means…
Pick up the Bible and read it for yourself…
Not so much with an open mind but with an open heart...
You will be amazed how truly simple it is to understand…

Seek and Find
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8)
All too often what we find very much depends on just what it is we are seeking…
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. (Matthew 13:24-26)
If all we seek in this world are the tares that is all we will ever find…
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8)
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.(Matthew 13:30)
Remember, the wheat is still out there…
