Idols and False Gods
The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
(Psalms 135:15)
Anything or anyone can become an idol or a false god, all we have to do is
worship them…
Idols and false gods only have the powers we give them…
They only see what we can imagine…
They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
(Psalms 135:16)
They only hear what we tell ourselves…
They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths. (Psalms 135:17)
False gods only live in our earthly desires…
They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them. (Psalms 135:18)
We may not believe in the idol…
However, the people who create them often have great charisma…
So, we can end up believing in them…
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (Matthew 24:24)
We must always be on guard…
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
(Psalms 28:7)
We do not get this from a hunk of metal, stone or even a person…

Who has our Faith?
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. (Mark 11:22)
People often say that they cannot have faith in things they have never seen…
Millions of people read newspapers every day and with faith in nothing more than paper and ink they believe…
and yet...
Hand them a Bible and they refuse to believe...
Everyday people receive the newest artificial heart, and with faith in the doctors willingly hand over their lives…
and yet...
God's miracles they will not accept...
People walk on to airplanes every day without a second thought and with faith in a pilot they have never seen they simply go on with their day…
and yet...
Trust in God? Someone they do not know...?
There is no doubt that we are a people of great faith...
The question is...
Who has our Faith…?
