The Courage to have Faith
We will never find any basis for charges against this man, Daniel, unless it has something to do with the laws of his God ... Then these men went as a group and found Daniel praying and asking God for help ... The King said to Daniel, "May the God, whom you serve continually, rescue you"...(Daniel 6: 5, 11 & 16)
A man stood at the door of a plane looking down at the earth so far below...
With courage he breath and slowly takes a step...
Daniel stood at the door of the lion’s den looking up into heaven...
With courage he whispers a prayer and slowly takes a step...
One man had faith that ropes and silk would bring him safely from heaven to earth...
The other had faith that God would take his soul safely from earth to heaven...
There was a difference between these two men...
One man could look up and see the parachute holding him from above...
Daniel held only the unseen hand of the God he loved...

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (John 13:34)
Some people say that the scrolls pose many questions but they do not always offer the answers…
They were never meant too…
From time to time we have talked about the Cystic Fibrosis summer camp…
The camp was never used for medical research…
We were not looking for the “Cure”…
The goal was to bring these children together so they could see that they were not alone…
The true miracle of the camp was watching the older children helping the younger ones…
This is what the scrolls are all about…
Letting people know they are not alone…
We all face the same challenges…
We all face the same temptations…
Out of that comes strength and understanding and love…
…And Hope…
