My Battle Against Me
For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them. I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity. Therefore the Lord hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight. (2 Samuel 22:23-25)
Oh Boy, I am in big trouble…
Samuel might be able to maintain his cleanness before God...
As for me, not so much…
Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah. (Psalm 7:5)
The worst attacks are the ones we wage against ourselves…
We can do more damage to our honour and soul than anyone on earth…
Our darkest secrets from times long past…
Evil thoughts that seem to come from out of nowhere…
Guilt that we can not purge from our soul…
To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him; (Daniel 9:9)
This takes yet another step of faith, possibly the toughest one we will ever face…
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
(Psalm 37:8)
So often it is anger at ourselves that keeps us from accepting God’s forgiveness…
God is always ready to forgive us...
We must also be willing to forgive ourselves...
Until we take that step the guilt will continue to tear us apart…

Are We Willing
Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Matthew 6: 21-22)
This world offers many treasures to those who are willing to take the risk. The question is: "How far are we willing to go?"...
W could take a ship out upon a stormy sea and dive deep into the darkness of the unforgiving waters to explore for sunken treasure.
Are we willing?
We could venture deep into the darkest jungle fighting off deadly diseases and savage beasts to search for a lost city of gold.
Are we willing?
To receive all the treasures of Heaven you must travel the toughest 24" on earth from our feet to your knees.
